Edward Hopper Exhibit at the Grand Palais

November 6th, 2012

If you’re coming to Paris in late January  you get a 2nd chance to see the Hopper exhibit!  It’s just been extended until February 3rd and the last 3 days it will be open 24/7 (for all you night owls!).

A wonderful Edward Hopper retrospective at the Grand Palais until January 28 opened in late October.  Although almost unknown to the average French person the wait for people without tickets this past Sunday was 4 hours!  With 128 of his works on display one sees the Hopper we know (e.g. Nighthawks) with the Hopper we don’t (gravures and early works including watercolors from his Paris stays in his youth).  A must see if you’re in Paris while this is on – put this on your list!  Open daily except Tuesday, 10 am to 10 pm (until 8 pm Sunday and Monday).
