Holiday lights part 2 – Le grand roux (The Big Wheel)

January 5th, 2013

One of the most impressive ways to see Paris from above, day or night, is from the ferris wheel that’s installed on the Place de la Concorde.  And at the holidays, when the Champs-Elysées is all decked out it’s even more impressive.  Acrophobe that I am, I’m still tempted to take this ride, so wonderful is the view (and it helps that the cabins are enclosed now!).  And now that vacation is over here and lots of folks have gone back to work, wait times will be reasonable.  Through January 13, 2013.  11 am to midnight.  10 euros (under 5, 5 euros).
