Georges Braque Exhibit at the Grand Palais

December 2nd, 2013

The Georges Braque exhibit at the Grand Palais, running until January 6th, is the first full retrospective of his work in Paris since the mid-70s.  Many of us know his work from only one period – if this is true for you then this expo will be a revelation! This show is very popular and entry times for advance purchase tickets on some days are already quite limited.  To avoid a really long wait in line in the cold it’s important to reserve ahead and the sooner the better!  Fortunately you can do it online (click here).  Open daily except Tuesdays and the Monday before Christmas.

And in connection with the exhibit they’ve created an application Georges Braque La Fabrique Cubiste which lets you take photos and turn them into cubist works.  Click here to download.

If you miss it here in Paris it’s traveling to the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston from 16 February to 11 May 2014.
