Pasolini Roma at the Cinémathèque Francaise

Italian film is in the spotlight this fall at the Cinémathèque française, including the life and work of Pier Paolo Pasolini.  Focusing on his 25 years in Rome (hence the title of the exhibit) the exhibit covers the 25 years when he lived and worked in his city of adoption, telling the story of this period through film clips, letters, extracts of poems and other written works, still photos, paintings, maps and other artifacts.  Fascinating view into the life of this passionate, creative figure of


Cinema Paradiso at the Grand Palais

A drive-in movie theater in the heart of Paris?  Not possible you say?  Well, think again.  From now until June 21st a drive-in has been constructed in the Nef of the Grand Palais in the heart of Paris.  You can purchase a day pass (just to go in an see, eat, whatever) or a day pass+film if you want to see one of the films (on the 19th they’re showing Jaws, on the 21st Sugar Man, the documentary about Sixto Rodriguez).  Day pass = 11
