Fall Garden Festival Paris

The Fête des Jardins 2013, this weekend in Paris (September 21 and 22).  Several small hidden gardens, not usually open to the public, are on the program (e.g the garden of the Institut Catholique in the 6th) in addition to many of the community gardens scattered around the city.  Many parks have programmed special events – concerts are planned in several parks (e.g. Parc Montsouris at 4 pm both Saturday and Sunday) as well as special activities for kids and demonstrations related to various horticultural

Looking for things to do this weekend in Paris?  Many gardens and hidden courtyards not normally open to the public can be visited this Saturday and Sunday.  And some parks will host special events and concerts.  You can pick up the brochure in any city hall, in many of the larger parks or check things out online here (sorry, the site is only in French).  


Sunday afternoon in the park

Weekend afternoons (and Wednesday when most young kids don’t have school) the ponies show up at the park Montsouris.  Fun for kids and their parents – and a nice break for young kids tired of traditional sightseeing!
